Extraordinary on Hulu: A Hilariously Unconventional Gem You Can't Miss

Alright, my friend, you've got to promise me you'll read beyond this next line. "Extraordinary" is a TV show set in a world where everyone has superpowers, except for one person who doesn't—and she's pretty bummed about it. Thanks for sticking with me. And now I'll make you a promise: that was the most lackluster way to describe the sheer brilliance and hilarity of "Extraordinary."

You might think it's another superhero spin on the classic Disney TV movie formula. You know, where the main character discovers that the true power lies in friendship. But let me tell you, this show is on Hulu (yes, Disney owns it, but that's beside the point), Hulu means at least PG-13. I mean the show features a character named Jizzlord!

Speaking of Jizzlord, Jizzlord is part of the hilarious cast that makes "Extraordinary" stand out. And by hilarious, I don't mean inspiring or powerful. I mean that these characters are so delightfully and laughably dumb, you can't help but love them.

The humor in this show is reminiscent of a middle schooler's. And the actors brilliantly portray their characters as both believable and blissfully unaware. Jokes whiz by at breakneck speed, some predictable and others so absurd they catch you off guard. But one thing's for sure—they never stop coming, and they never stop being downright hilarious.

With 30-minute episodes, and only one season under its belt. "Extraordinary" is the perfect binge-watch for a chill Thursday evening or a lazy Saturday morning. And hey, if you're a fan of "Derry Girls," you'll see Siobhán McSweeney (a.k.a. Sister Michael) in the cast—and she's not even the funniest character!
